Printing Operator – Flexographic Process: Cork City, Ireland

The Printworks Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Flexographic Print Operative to join the team at a well-established and highly successful company based in Cork City, Southern Ireland.

Responsibilities

·      Running and manning Flexographic Printing Presses.

·      Time-management within our team to alternating roles to Assist the shift Press Operator or Operate Print

       Run for the Production Schedule for Flexographic Printing Presses. Creating efficiencies and increase

       output within the Print and Pre-Press processes.

·      Carrying out quality checks and press adjustments throughout the print run.

·      Manage materials, plates, dies, inks relating to individual jobs.

·      Follow all SOPs and documentation for Quality System Standards

·      Follow Job Instructions for customer orders – material, dies, plates, inks etc.

·      Press cleaning on completion of a print run or order completion.

.      Rewind/Inspection and Finishing after print production.

·      Have an excellent eye for print detail.

·      Follow Waste Material Management procedures.

·      Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on and around presses.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Skills & Attributes

·      Minimum of 5 year Printing experience and/or 3 years’ Label Flexographic Printing experience.

·      Enjoy working as part of a team. Can-do Attitude.

·      Experience across all areas of Flexo Print Process – from plate mounting, print set-up, print

       run, ink management and clean down, through to rewinding and inspection.

·      Excellent mechanical and practical skills on press.

·      Problem Solver. Reliable. Self-motivated. Flexible.

Position Information

·      Full-time permanent position

·      Monday to Friday, 8am-4.30pm or shift pattern - alternating overlap 12.30pm – 9pm as/when required.

·      30 days holiday including bank holidays
