Mechanical Estimator

As Mechanical Estimator you will be an essential team member responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate costings for projects.

In this role you will:

Be responsible for the day-to-day estimating activities will include costing of a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.

Generate detailed mechanical take-offs for turnkey commercial projects which will involve liaising with a wide range of suppliers to obtain accurate quotations for specialist equipment.

Obtaining estimates and prices from suppliers and building our network of suppliers.

Creating and delivering tender presentations.

Following up tenders and securing projects.

Create submittals register for the projects.

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with current clients and potential new clients.

Liaise with our contract managers, procurement department & wider commercial department to generate a seamless link from initial costing through to design, installation, and completion for each project.

Attend site meetings where required both pre and post contract award.

Identify tender packages that are not suited to the Company using knowledge gained from a review of the feedback reports on previous tenders done for same client.

Prepare handover documentation & attend internal post award meetings for successful projects to discuss and review breakdown of estimate with pre-con teams.

Any other duties as requested or required by the Manager or Senior Management Team.
