We currently have an opportunity for a Lounge Chef Supervisor to join our team. Main responsibilities * Responsible to run the day to day kitchen operation and deputising in the absence of the Head Chef. * Responsible in preparation and presentation of all menu items, to ensure that a high culinary Standard is met and that the service is prompt and efficient. * Ensuring the company Personal and Food Hygiene, Health and safety standards, policies and procedures are adhered at all times and monitored. * To make sure specified standards of food handling and storage & Stock Rotation are practiced. * Support Head chef in Menu Planning & Costings & Implementation. * To Deliver Team Briefings and identify the training needs of the kitchen and individuals to meet the business needs. * In the event of a fire alarm activation the statutory procedures are adhered to. * Action points arising from local or Company Environmental Health Officer visits as requested by Head Chef * Quality standards checks are carried out on every shift and Temperature checks are made on hot and cold food according to Company standards. * To assist with special functions and other areas of service where necessary. * Control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented and minimise the waste in operation * The Kitchen cleaning Schedule is monitored and actioned. * To Support Head chef in delivering required standard of food, and kitchen operation. * Comply at all times with the HR Staff Code of Conduct. * To ensure that the uniform provided is worn at all times whilst on duty. * Demonstrate good customer service Attitude to our Clients, Staff & Customers. * Responsible in maintaining a safe working environment to minimise accidents within the workplace * To undergo training courses and to attend any company meetings when necessary. * To be prepared to change work methods, patterns to ensure the smooth running of the unit operation. * To carry out reasonable management requests.
