We are looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to join a dynamic future-of-work in-house legal team in the world’s leading Creative-as-a-Service company. 

As part of a small legal team, and reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will receive personalized mentorship and guidance.

This role requires someone who is independently driven and prepared to roll up their sleeves and take responsibility for high-stakes legal matters arising across the company.

What you'll do

• Be responsible for negotiating contracts with customers, vendors, and others ensuring that Superside’s interests are appropriately protected.

• Draft bespoke contracts from scratch for novel situations.

• Respond to a wide variety of legal questions that arise from across the business in day-to-day operations.

• Develop systems and processes to improve the legal function.

• Anticipate legal disputes and take proactive steps to mitigate risk.

• Proactively advise the business on relevant legal developments and research important legal questions.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A team spirit allowing you to work well under pressure while maintaining kindness and compassion and a sense of the bigger picture

• Broad experience in a corporate commercial legal environment either in a professional practice or an in-house legal team.

• A high degree of proficiency in the law of contract and experience drafting, reviewing and interpreting contracts.

• Knowledge and experience with intellectual property law, employment law and/or dispute resolution processes is a bonus.

• Be independently motivated with a strong internal drive to perform at a high level, and prepared to run with matters without significant oversight or day-to-day management.

• A growth mindset with the technical ability to research legal matters.

• Strong business acumen with a desire to understand the impact that your work has on the business and ability to act accordingly.

• Excellent verbal and written English language proficiency with a solid understanding of fundamental legal concepts.
