What Will Your Day To Day Look Like

Ensure compliance with S,H&W at work act across the operations. Developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in consultation with operations mangers in line with ISO 45001. Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Identify continuous improvement opportunities, communicate to management and review periodically Risk and Opportunity Matrix, SWOT, Pestle Review etc. Safety policies review (e.g. Driving in warehouse, Use of charging equipment, working at heights) Accident, near miss and first aid investigations, including corrective actions and collation of statistics. Collaborating with management and employees to raise awareness and promote a positive safety culture. Providing training and education to employees on safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety incidents, inspections, and training activities. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, recommending improvements as necessary. Liaising with relevant regulatory agencies and participating in safety-related meetings and forums.

What Skills Do You Need For This Role

Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and guidelines applicable to the logistics industry. Risk Assessment: Competent in conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards, assess their severity and likelihood, and implement appropriate control measures. Accident Investigation: Skilled in investigating and documenting accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and recommending preventive measures. Training and Education: Capable of developing and delivering safety training programs, workshops, and toolbox talks to enhance employee awareness and compliance. Emergency Response Planning.
