Attuned Programmes Ireland is looking for highly motivated Social Care Worker's and to join our team.

We are currently recruiting for social care support workers for our Disability Service in Carlow. Attuned Programmes provide residential care and community-based outreach support to young people and vulnerable adults. Our aim is to support and meet young people and adults where they are at, and to identify and navigate towards positive outcomes in a safe and respectful manner that takes account of their individual needs.

General Job Description:

The successful candidates will be dedicated and highly motivated; they will already possess high levels of competence and will be able to demonstrate this through their qualification and some experience in meeting regulatory requirements, best practice standards and ultimately an understanding of the varied needs of vulnerable young people.

The role is to support young people in developing self-care and independent living skills while helping them to develop the capacity and opportunity to eventually live an independent life in the community.

Requirements:

Candidates for the Health Care Assistant/ Support Worker position must have a minimum BA QQI level 7 qualification in social care or be a student in year 4 of a Level 8 of a social care programme and have completed 3rd year of the programme OR hold a relevant Qualification.

Knowledge of all relevant legislation.

Knowledge of House Registration Process.

Proficient communication skills, IT skills, report writing and planning skills.

This post is subject to Garda clearance.

A full clean driving licence is desirable.

Candidates must also have a deep commitment to children’s and young people’s rights and protection and enjoy working in a dynamic and at times challenging environment.
