Position Available: Health Care Assistant (Full-time positions available)

Post: Positions available in the work locations listed below.

Report to: Management team (Centre/Deputy manager)

Role: Rotating Roster/ being flexible to cover needs in the roster as requested.

Responsibilities:

    Deliver high quality care and assistance to residents as per their Individual care plans and instructions by the Centre Management.

    Observe, listen and engage with the young people.

    Contribute to the Protection and safety of the Young People

    Be punctual and manage time effectively.

    Adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

    To ensure that the main principles of the National Standards of Residential Child Care, dignity, privacy, choice, safety, realising potential and equality and diversity are reflected within the service provided.

    Key-working and support duties as required.

    To support young people in accessing information, in an appropriate format, allowing them to make informed choices.

    To liaise with management team and other staff on issues relating to the centre.

    To set and demonstrate good standards of work practice.

    To adhere and implement Policies and Procedures of the company.

    To attend training as required and pertinent to the centre.

    To be accountable for your own actions and personal and professional development.

    To attend and partake in professional supervision.

    To work positively with family members and other professionals.

Person Specification:

    Experience in residential services for Children is preferable.

    Completed a min Level 7 in Social Care or equivalent.

    Have drivers’ licence & own transport.

    Are reliable, dedicated, diligent and trustworthy.

    Are fluent in English both verbally and written.

Qualifications considered as a related and relevant field are:

    Level 7/8 in Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences

    Level 8 in Psychology

    Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy

    Level 7 in Counselling

    Level 7/8 in Teaching & Nursing

    Level 7/8 Addiction studies where appropriate

Job Type: Contract- Full-time Permanent contracts.

(Full-time: 39 hours per week- Starting Salary: €30,000 per annum)

Experience:

    Social Care or Related Qualification: minimum 1 year preferably
