Financial Administrator - Fraud. Dublin. Irlanda

We are looking for someone to work in our Finance Department.  This is a new post to help us manage increased compliance reporting and the management and prevention of fraud across our organisation.  You will be required to :

    Review trends in individual cost centre to help identify possible fraud and to review and implement appropriate policies and checks to reduce the risk of such fraud.

    Ensure all cost centres are kept abreast of latest trends in fraud (phishing, scams, money laundering, embezzlement etc) and provide ongoing support to Guardians and local financial administrators to adhere to policy.

    Ensure robust procedures are in place to support this.

    Liaise with Major Financial Institutions regarding fraud prevention and implement recommendations across the Province in a timely manner.

    Liaise with IT to ensure all appropriate authentication, two step verification etc is in place for all those processing payments.

    In conjunction with the Financial Accountant and Provincial Bursar analyse and report on investment and donation portfolios to ensure best returns with minimal risk.  Present analysis on investment performance to Trustees on a quarterly basis.

    Liaise where necessary with Custodies, International Charities etc where monies may be sent to ensure ongoing compliance with best practice, reporting, transparency and accountability.

    As a member of the team you may also be asked to assist in other day-to-day aspects of the Finance Department including preparation of accounts for audit; preparation of budgets for different cost centre; preparation of payroll.

    You will be required to present your analysis to non-Financial managers so it is imperative you can relate this financial and mathematical information in a clear and concise manner.

The Successful Candidate Should have:

Accounting qualification such Honours BA in Accounting & Finance, or similar.

Minimum of 3yrs experience with demonstrable experience in financial analysis.

Previous experience implementing fraud prevention policies and procedures would be an advantage.

Excellent I.T. Skill

Strong report writing and presentation skills.

Experience working in the Charity Sector is highly desirable.
