We wish to hire kitchen and service staff for a restaurant we intend to open as an addition to our operation at Stracta Hotel in Hella in Iceland. The town of Hella is aprox 1,5 hour drive from Reykjavík capital.

The restaurant is partly supposed to attract tourists and groups of tourists from Asia and will serve traditional Thai food.

If you have experience from working in a Thai restaurant and/or knowledge about traditionan Thai food cooking, this may be the right job for you.

Only punctual and reliable candidates will be considered

Applicants need to be able to speak English.

When you apply, it would be best to submit a list of your pervious work experience, education (if some) and also reccomendations from the owner or operator of at least one Thai restaurant.

Candidates that have attended some courses in Thai food preparation are preferred.  

The working hours will be adjusted to the restaurant´s opening hours mostly day and evening shifts.  

Housing not available.

Salaries will be in accordance with the collective agreement between SA and VFLS.

Við leitum að almennum starfsmönnum með reynslu af thælenskri matargerð í eldhús og sal veitingarstaðar sem ætlunin er að reka í tengslum við Stracta Hotel á Hellu á Rangárvöllum. Hella er 1,5 klst frá Reykjavík.

Veitingastaðnum er ætlað að höfða til ferðamanna frá Asíu og mun bjóða upp á tælenskan mat.

Æskilegt er að viðkomandi hafi marktæka reynslu af vinnu á thælenskum veitingastað, hafi þekkingu og reynslu af tælenskri matargerð og sé stundvís og áreiðanlegur. Æskilegt er að viðkomandi hafi sótt námskeið í tælenskri matargerð.

Enskukunnátta er skilyrði.  

Umsækjendur skili ferilsskrá og meðmælum frá þeim tælenskum veitingastöðum sem þeir hafa starfað á.

Gert er ráð fyrir því að sumir starfsmenn vinni dagvinnu en aðrir vaktavinnu á 8 stunda vöktum.

Laun eru samkvæmt kjarasamningi SA við VFLS.
