Assistant Professor in General Nursing (2 roles). Irlanda

We seek to appoint 2 Assistant Professors in General Nursing. The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to general nursing teaching, research and administrative activities in the School. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in General Nursing and will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this field and in interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring. This post provides an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to developments pertinent to general nursing in relevant research areas which are of strategic focus for the Discipline, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin and contemporary society. The successful candidate will be expected to have a depth of knowledge pertinent to the role and will be expected to attract research funding and attain scholarly publication.

The appointee will be able to avail of an outstanding environment for education, research and scholarly endeavour, and will be expected to engage with new innovations and research initiatives within the Discipline of General Nursing, the Trinity Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation and the Institute of Population Health as relevant. They will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources within the School and College to support education, research and scholarly activities. The appointee will work closely with the Head of Discipline and other discipline members.

Post status: 2 Roles - 5-Year Fixed-Term Contract, Tenure Track

Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor (Former pay scale name ‘Lecturer’) Merged Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€39,469 to €95,441 per annum)
