In 2003 a new branch was opened in Kerpen, Germany, the

Polymer Business Unit which focusses on the trade of pure polymers, polymer additives, waxes and bitumen modifiers. WISTEMA’s polymers are used in almost all areas of life – for example in packaging, clothing and construction. In 2021 WISTEMA acquired a 10.000 m² warehouse and logistics centre for this very unit, which allowed them to offer their partners additional services for non-dangerous goods such as repackaging, blending, and mixing.

Polymer Business Unit in Kerpen, we are looking for a dynamic, creative and experienced

Senior Sales Executive who will guide the launch of a new product portfolio (waxes, bitumen modifiers for pavement and roofing).

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a

Senior Sales Executive at WISTEMA’s Polymer Division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to strengthen the market position of WISTEMA.

  • Creating and executing the new product portfolio – You are responsible for the promotion, sales and development of the new products of the Polymer Division with a focus on

    waxes,

    elastomers, and

    bitumen modifiers.

  • Developing sales strategies – You formulate and execute effective sales strategies to position and sell the polymer products in the market.
  • Export – Once familiar with the above products and markets in Europe, coordination and development of overseas markets (Americas + Far East) can be the next step.
  • Customer Management – You expand the existing customer portfolio and you will be the point of contact for key accounts.
  • International visits – You go on national and international customer visits.
  • Market Analysis – You conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify sales opportunities for new products or improvements to existing products. You stay up-to-date with industry developments and competitor activities.
  • Collaboration –You collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development and production to understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Reporting – You report on sales performance, market developments, and strategic initiatives to management.

PROFILE

  • Experienced – You are in possession of a bachelor's or master's degree in a chemical field and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the

    polymer or chemical industry.

  • Clever and creative – You possess a sharp intellect and boundless creativity, embodying a true entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive when given complete freedom to devise your own sales strategies and cultivate lasting client relationships.
  • Technical - commercial – You have a keen interest in the technical details of WISTEMA’s diverse product range and skillfully leverage your commercial perspective to work effectively with these products.
  • Team player – You are loyal and sincere, understanding that success is a collaborative effort rather than a one-person show. You work well with others.
  • Articulate – You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical – you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on and dynamic – You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and work effectively within them.
  • Flexible – This role goes beyond the typical office job: you are willing to travel to the business unit in Kerpen at least twice every two weeks (four times a month) or once a week, depending on your location. You will also visit clients both nationally and internationally.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is highly desirable, as the team includes many German-speaking colleagues.
