Great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to work for a growing company based in Slough! Do you have experience of working in a start-up role? Have you worked in a standalone role in the past and grown with a company recruiting staff over time? Are you passionate about taking ownership of a warehouse and the responsibility that it comes with ? Do you have a Fork-lift licence or have previously driven one? If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Our client based in Slough are looking for someone to run a relatively new warehouse function of 6000 Sq. Ft. Our client have previously outsourced their distribution so this offers a real opportunity not only for you but also the ongoing success of the business If you are someone who has a hands on approach and would like to develop with a company in a growth industry then you could be joining a company at a perfect time to enhance your career? You will receive a salary of between 30-32k, pension scheme, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme and free car parking. You will need to flexible to get the daily work load complete, but the normal working hours will be 8-4 Monday to Friday ( with flexibility ) The purpose of the role will be to run the warehouse on a daily basis, making sure orders are distributed to time frames agreed. You will also need to keep the warehouse in a professional clean and tidy state at all times. You will also be tasked with the general running of the warehouse and working with regional, national, and local warehousing third parties to get orders out in a timely manner. In the role you will control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system on a minimum monthly basis. Maintaining excellent physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement will also be a key part in your role. Other tasks will be achieving financial objectives by preparing an annual budget with the UK Ops Manager; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
