What you will do

- Manage and develop solutions for new coating and printing technologies

- Lead and facilitate development projects

- Investigate new technologies and follow digitalization trends in label printing

- Transform market opportunities into product solutions together with our business organization

- Be the main technical contact towards selected suppliers

- Support sourcing in supplier management and development

- Develop partnership with key industrial stakeholders

Who you are

- You have M.Sc. or B.Sc. from materials, chemistry, printing or equivalent experience

- You have experience or knowledge about pressure sensitive labelling, raw materials used in labelling solutions and printing methods used for labels. Experience from digital printing / smart labelling technologies are seen as a benefit

- You have project management experience and use of statistical methods

- You have good collaboration skills, and you are also able to work with your own initiative

- You have good communication skills, and you are able to build networks in and outside UPM

- You have analytical and problem-solving mindset, and you are eager to learn new things

- You are fluent in Finnish and English, other languages are seen as asset
