Wir suchen für unseren Kunden (Luftfahrt) in der Schweiz einen Senior Technical Author (a) zur Festanstellung

Your Tasks

- The production of data modules to S1000D specifications using engineering reports, drawings, and general aircraft related documentation for all chapters of Pilatus flight manuals

- Operational documentation authoring, approval processes and preparation for publishing (Scope of the operational documentation: Airplane Flight Manuals, Pilot Operating Handbooks, Quick Reference Handbooks, Airplane Equipment Lists)

- Regular discussion and agreement for flight operational procedures with associated Pilatus departments to gain required agreement and approval

- Ownership of documentation through to internal Pilatus approval or external certification authority approval

- The production of draft illustration requests from drawings and 3D models to aid in the final preparation of artwork

With this you convince us

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technical Author writing aircraft technical documentation to the ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specifications

- Primary experience should be in avionic and operational documentation authoring (AFM/POH/QRH, etc.), experience with maintenance documentation authoring would be an advantage

- Aeronautical electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, formal training or experienced in the field of aviation maintenance through practical hands-on work

- Familiarity with Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Office suite and experience of working within a Common Source Data Base (CSDB) environment

- Strong knowledge in the use of ASD Simplified Technical English

- Fluency in English (C1) with good communication skills, knowledge of the German language would be an advantage
