Technical Assistant in the SAM Robot Product Group

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to join our SAM Robot Product Group within the Engineering department. This role is integral to supporting our strategy of innovation and continuous improvement. As part of a competent robot team, you will engage in various tasks involving 3D and 2D drawings and documentation for our SAM robots and undertake lighter design tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creation of 3D Models and Drawings:

  • Support engineers by creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for SAM robots.
  • Ensure all drawings meet the required specifications and standards.

• Ordering Parts:

  • Order parts as per the detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to manage the ordering process efficiently.

• Workshop Documentation:

  • Assist in collecting and organizing drawings for the workshop.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and readily available for production use.

• CAD Tools Super User:

  • Act as the super user for CAD tools within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on best practices and tool usage.

• Design Tasks:

  • Undertake lighter design tasks as needed, contributing to the overall design process and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD software and tools, with a strong understanding of 3D and 2D modeling.
• Experience in creating detailed technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
