Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:

Reporting to the Sustainability Director Northern Europe, you will work with obtaining and keeping the licence to operate, with implementation of global programs and standards and in managing land acquisitions. You will regularly engage with different stakeholders such as authorities and local communities.

Responsibilities:

- Implement and support the strategic environmental permitting and compliance process at all Sibelco sites in Finland.

- Assist with the management of land areas to secure the long-term future of mineral supply in Finland.

- Liaise, support and train operational colleagues in sustainability issues.

- Monitor the regulatory landscape and keep the organisation informed on relevant developments and proposed actions.

- Implement policies, guidelines and strategies from Global Sustainability relating to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance).

- Engage with different stakeholders in the permitting processes and throughout the lifecycle of the sites.

- Identify opportunities and share learnings and best practices among the network and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or similar.

- Good knowledge of environmental legal matters as well as ESG regulations and related reporting obligations.

- Understanding of environmental permitting processes.

- Minimum of 3 years of work experience, experience of working in or consulting to an extractive industry or relevant heavy industry is an asset.

- Good skills in Microsoft Office products.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to collaborate effectively and proactively while growing your professional network.

- Ability to influence and motivate others to contribute to the success of a global company.

- Fluency in Finnish and English, Swedish is an asset.

This position is preferably located in Kimito, Kuopio/Nilsiä or Karvia, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
