Support Worker - Iona House - Co. Monaghan. Irlanda

Where You Would Work:  Iona House

Iona House provides 24/7 residential service to maximum of 8 service users with intellectual disabilities, physical disability, autism and complex needs. The age range at present is 24-75. Our residents require additional supports in all areas of their daily life including behaviours which challenge. 6 residents live within the main building with additional 2 self-contained apartments with 1 resident supported in each apartment at the end of the building.

Staff team on a daily basis consists of 1 Team Leader and 5 Support Workers with varying shift patterns between 9-12 hours. At night, 1 Team Leader and 1 Support Worker are on a waking night. The rota pattern varies according to needs of the service but given a month in advance.

An ideal candidate for the service would be someone with experience in behaviours which challenge and positive behavioural support; driven towards improving quality of life for each of our service users irrespective of their complexities. Full Driver Licence and access to own cars is essential for supporting residents in the scheme.

Salary Details:

Support Worker    

Full Time contract available    

€27,990 - €38,844 per annum.

Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience.  Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €101.60 per night applies*
