Then you might be the right person for Novo Nordisk as we are currently searching for a dedicated Student Assistant to be part of the R&D and Laboratory team in Corporate Procurement. About the department We are 130 employees in Corporate Procurement in Denmark and along with the global organisation, we manage Novo Nordisk’s total external indirect spend of more than 25 billion DKK. We are a diverse team working with key stakeholders and colleagues across Novo Nordisk as well as with our suppliers. We are looking for a talented Student Assistant to join our team from August/September 2017. You will gain experience in sourcing, supply chain optimisation and business development, e.g. project management, quantitative data analytics and negotiations. You are expected to take responsibility for your own projects with strong support and sparring from dedicated project managers and leaders. The position We offer an exciting and challenging position that, for the right candidate, will provide a unique opportunity to impact the spend base of Novo Nordisk. You will be supporting the team with ad hoc tasks to implement improvement initiatives, realise savings and drive process optimisations across the global cost base. The focus will be on negotiation and contract management with external suppliers, drive cost optimising projects with key stakeholders and work on different management analytical tasks and presentation material. The workload is 15-20 hours per week over 2-3 days. We are open to some flexibility around studies. Qualifications You are in the process of completing a Master's Degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, law, engineering, supply chain management or the like) with a top 20% GPA. You have an international mind-set, experience from studying abroad and/or 1-2 years of relevant work next to your studies. You aspire to work with sourcing and supply chain combined with business development. You have high professional expectations for yourself and your colleagues. You have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and use data to drive evidence-based decision-making. Finally, you work fluently in English.
