Sports Administrative Assistant
Pitch and Putt Ireland is the National governing body for the sport of Pitch and Putt, dedicated to promoting and growing the sport throughout the country. We manage national tournaments, support clubs, and work to expand community involvement in Pitch and Putt. This placement provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports administration, event planning, and social media management.
Placement Overview
As a Sports Administrative Assistant, you will get hands-on experience supporting the administrative functions of Pitch and Putt Ireland. This position will give you valuable experience across multiple areas, including office functions, event coordination, and digital communications. You will assist with the smooth operation of activities, from assisting with tournaments to engaging with our community through social media.
You will gain experience in the following areas:
General Administration: You will provide administrative support to the organisation, including taking incoming phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with daily office tasks such as filing and scheduling.
Social Media & Communications:
You will be taught how Pitch and Putt Ireland uses social media such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and others to promote its brand as well as monitoring and responding to social media interactions.
You will learn how to create and schedule engaging content that highlights upcoming events, results, and updates from the Pitch and Putt community.
You will assist with developing eye-catching graphics, videos, and posts to fostering a positive online presence and to promote participation and excitement around our tournaments and initiatives.
You will assist with content creation for newsletters and other communications to keep members informed about important news, updates, and developments within the sport.
