A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Specialist, Orthodontist, South East Community Healthcare from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post

The purpose of the job is to plan and deliver comprehensive Orthodontic treatment from initial assessment through to treatment completion for patients with complex, often multi­disciplinary needs.

Details of Service

The service provides high quality complex Orthodontic treatment to patients attending the Orthodontic Department following referral from the school dental service. Patients are assessed by Specialist staff for Orthodontic Treatment Needs according to National Criteria prior to acceptance for treatment. Some cases are suitable for the provision of treatment plans to be carried out by referring dentists with appropriate advice and supervision. Multi­disciplinary clinics are held for patients with complex restorative and Orthognathic surgical requirements
