Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:

Expert support person for cellular Glycoengineering and inducible gene editing systems of iPSC-NK.

A 3-year position is available within the research group ‘Biotherapeutic Glycoengineering and Immunology’

headed by Professor Steffen Goletz and is funded by the DigitSTEM initiative. Our research group belongs to the Section of Protein Science and Biotherapeutics at the Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine at DTU. The position will be available from April 2024.

In our research group, we apply and develop advanced next generation antibody engineering as well as cellular and molecular glycoengineering technologies to elucidate the role of glycosylations within complex immunological networks and disease and to generate novel therapeutic strategies and drug candidates. Our main therapeutic interest is within immunooncology as well as infectious gastrointestinal and lung diseases. One focus lies within cellular glycoengineering of human innate immune cells for highly effective cell-based immunotherapeutics and the design and development of their manufacturing processes. We also have a strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The DigitSTEM initiative is a four-year stem cell focused research collaboration between The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine (renew) at University of Copenhagen, and Bioneer A/S that aims at developing new in vitro disease models and therapeutics using human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs). The current position focuses on cellular glycoengineering and generation of inducible gene editing systems within our of differentiation of human induced-pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into effective NK-cells.

Our expectations of you

You will work with a team of Senior scientists, postdocs, and PhD students and in close collaboration with academic and industrial collaborators within the DigitSTEM initiative to establish a novel iPSC-derived NK-cell platform for next generation biotherapeutics.

You are highly motivated and must have solid laboratory experiences in cellular glycoengineering, glycobiology, human cell engineering, gene editing including knock-out and knock-in technologies, inducible gene editing systems, and stem cell engineering and differentiation.

Prior work in this field is required.

Deep knowledge and skills in genetic engineering of human iPSC, cell-line development, iPSC generation,  glycobiology, glycoengineering, glycoanalytics. Knowledge in proteomics will be of advantage. The successful applicant should hold a PhD in a relevant life-science discipline (stem cell biology, immunology or alike), have excellent communication skills and be extensively trained in stem cell biology, gene editing, glycobiology, cell culture systems, and computational data analysis.
