We offer

    Competitive Rates: €42,000 per year/ €17.95 per hour / 45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

    To be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.

    Keep the kitchen environment safe and hygienic and ensure all HACCP requirements are met.

    Be the in charge of the purchasing and storage of food.

    To keep stock usage, wastage, loss and breakages in the kitchen to a minimum level and to record accordingly.

    To ensure all relevant records are complete and are accurate.

    To ensure cleaning and maintenance of restaurant machinery and equipment is completed in line with the Kitchen Cleaning Schedule and Kitchen Period Checklists.

    Support the kitchen operations effectively.

    Lead by example in excellent food production.

    Support the kitchen operations along with the other members of the team.

    Mentor our skilled and ambitious culinary staff.

    Support the Head Chef in their duties, occasionally deputise in their role.

    Capable of planning menus.

    Designing staff shift schedule.

    Managing the workflow in the kitchen and liaising with wait staff to ensure customers receive orders promptly and correctly.

    Getting involved in the hiring process for new Chefs.

Key Requirements

    4-5 years’ experience in a busy kitchen operation.

    Experience in managing personnel, inventory management and HACCP.

    A desire to provide a consistently high standard of customer service.

    Great ability in teamwork.

    Problem-solving abilities and high level of administrative knowledge.

    Ability to communicate in English language.
