Work tasks: * Sous Chef is friendly to guests and staff and is focused on his work, resulting in good teamwork and the best guest satisfaction.
* Responsible for hot and cold dishes, including the operation of the warehouse, refrigerators, potato and vegetable preparation rooms and all other cooking areas.
* Obligation to check the personal hygiene and uniforms of subordinates. Carry out random checks at workplaces, warehouses and refrigerators.
* Prepare staff work schedules.
* Follow the chef's instructions regarding work organization and cooking.
* Must be constantly aware of the level and quality of stocks (especially vegetables and fruits) and check stocks at least once a day. If necessary, replenish stocks.
* When preparing dishes, the instructions of the chef must be planned and taken into account.
* Sous Chef instructs his direct subordinates in accordance with internal rules and job descriptions. Conducts development interviews to discuss employees' strengths and weaknesses.
* The Sous Chef is directly responsible for ensuring that all of his direct and indirect subordinates are fully aware of the standards of food handling, inspection procedures and the hotel's sanitation and health program.
* Sous Chef must have an overview of the professional knowledge of his staff and, if necessary, train (retrain) the staff. The training must include a practical and a theoretical part.
* New kitchen staff must be trained and closely monitored for at least three months.
* All machines and equipment must be in good condition. The Sous Chef must ensure that all staff are familiar with the procedure for cleaning the relevant equipment. To do this, Sous Chef must provide training and inspect staff so that they understand all aspects of cleaning the machines.
* Ensure two-way communication with all kitchen staff.
* Follow proper disciplinary procedures as described in the manuals.
* Sous Chef is fully aware of the company's standards in his field according to the manuals, and be fully aware of each employee's job description.
* Sous Chef is responsible for maintaining the standards set and ensuring that employees meet the standards set in the job description.
* Is aware of and follows safety / fire safety procedures in accordance with hotel policies and regulations.

Other requirements: Requirements for the candidate
* Must know the peculiarities of international cuisine
* Must have a good command of English or German
* Have a professional education (handling raw and cooked food)
* Have at least 5 years of practical work experience as a chef in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
* Be able to handle quality control of dishes, staff and service.
* Have very good experience in food hygiene management.
* Must be aware of the principles of preparing a HACCP self-inspection plan.
* Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge.
* At least 18 years old
* Have a passport of a member state of the European Union.
