Department of Computer Science, Wolfson Building, Parks Road, Oxford Software Engineering Programme Administrative Assistant (part-time, 0.5 FTE) Fixed-term for 10 months from January 2018 Grade 4: £21,585 – £24,983 p.a. (pro-rata) The Software Engineering Programme, part of the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford, has a vacancy for a part-time Administrative Assistant for a period of maternity cover. The role offers variety, and you will provide administrative support alongside other members of the Software Engineering Programme team in all aspects of student and programme management including: on-course administration, examinations and assessment, marketing, recruitment, and admissions, finance, and general duties. You will be the first point of contact for enquiries, whether by email, telephone, or in-person, and will support the organisation of interviews for prospective students, and in the reception of students arriving for modules. The successful candidate will have excellent planning and organising skills, particularly when dealing with deadlines and a high volume of work, IT skills using MS Office, experience of working effectively as part of a team, and of interpreting/applying policies and procedures. Previous experience of co-ordinating training events, and of working in a University are highly desirable. The post, which is a part-time appointment is department-funded, has a salary on the University grade 04S scale (currently £21,585 - £24,983 per annum). This includes membership of the Oxford Staff Pension Scheme (OSPS) and has an annual leave entitlement of 38 days per year (inclusive of all public holidays and university closed periods).
