Social Care Worker Jobs in East Cork Area Servisource Healthcare in conjunction with its client are recruiting for experienced, caring Social Care Workers for jobs in the East Cork area. This Social Care Worker Job would involve working with individuals with Intellectual Disability either in day services or residential settings. The hours are 8am to 4pm or 8am to 8pm depending on the needs of the client. Minimum Requirements for this Social Care Job in East Cork: • Minimum Level 8 Degree in Social Care. • Will have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Social Care Worker working in an acute Healthcare Setting. • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certificate. • Buccal Midazolam certificate is desirable. • Fluent English, both spoken and written. For this Social Care Job in East Cork you will need: • To have outstanding organisational, motivational, interpersonal and communications skills as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and effectively manage your time. • To be willing to complete mandatory training if successful for the positions. • To have proven ability to interact successfully with people with various disabilities. • An understanding of HIQA regulations. The Responsibilities of the Social Care Job in East Cork Your job will involve working alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations in the Healthcare Setting. You will have general social care duties as well as operating activities for Service users and helping with food prep. At all times you will be expected to promote the independence of the service users. You will work closely with a Behavioural analyst and healthcare team. You will be required to have a full clean drivers licence as you may need to collect service users from their own home and drop them back home in evening. You will not need your own mode of transport for this as one will be provided to you. You will provide support to service users and encourage them creatively to engage in activities and leisure pursuits.
