Simulation Engineer (m/w/d) in Mamer

On behalf of our renowned client with headquarters in Mamer (L) we are looking for a Simulation Engineer (m/f/d).

Your mission is the analysis, modelling & simulation services in the area of mechanical engineering

The position will be filled directly and permanent with the client.

Our client is an innovative, Luxembourg based high-tech company with several state-of-the-art divisions.

Your tasks

- Structural analyses of mechanical components and systems, as well as structural and topological optimizations

- Dynamic and frequency domain analyses of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems

- Mathematical and/or statistical analyses of measuring data

- Documentation and validation testing of analyses and calculations

- Contribution to mechanical design (CAD)

- Continuous improvement in terms of modelling & simulation, verification and design processes

- Coming up with development ideas and their realization

- Pro-actively introducing, documenting and disseminating new technologies and concepts in the technology survey activities of the department.

Your profile

- Engineer or master level diploma in mechanical engineering

- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field of activity

- Solid knowledge in structural engineering & analysis, incl. FEA and know-how of material properties & selection

- Analysis tools (preferably Ansys) and scientific programming (e.g. Matlab, Python)

- Machine components selection/specification/dimensioning

- Familiarity with pertinent norms (e.g. FKM, VDI2230, Eurocodes)

- Basics in mechanical design/CAD and PDM tools (preferably Autodesk Inventor & Vault)

- Ability to work in an English-speaking environment including technical discussions and documentation activities, German, French and Luxembourgish being considered a plus
