At Competence Center for Automotive and Industrial Electronics (KAI), we

develop new methods for accelerated application-relevant stress testing of

power devices, be it the latest generation of silicon-based automotive

switches with smallest footprint and power consumption, be it the first of

their kind wide-band-gap power semiconductor devices made of silicon

carbide or gallium nitride, which enable unrivaled efficiency in power

conversion. Yet unknown failure modes of such devices are revealed, and the

underlying physical degradation mechanisms systematically researched.

Job Description

At KAI, we create reliability test methods and systems. For an existing

reliability test system architecture, we plan to extend the functionality

and improve the data acquisition performance.

Therefore, we are looking for a talented individual for /embedded software/

design, with a strong focus on IoT technologies like /MQTT/. This means you

will need to perform dedicated tasks:

· *Design *and *implementation *of modular software components for the

microcontroller embedded system

· *Integration *into measurement data acquisition platform

· Embedded firmware/systems testing (unit, HIL, …)

· *Documentation *of *developed *features

· Hardware platform evaluation and selection for our future test systems

· *Training/supervision *of junior developers & students including

working on research questions that arise from the embedded systems

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

· Completed a Master or PhD degree covering the area of Technical Informatics, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering with a strong

ambition for highly performant embedded systems

· Team spirit, hands-on mentality and you like to bring ideas to life

· Provide *knowledge *and *experience *in *programming *of networked embedded systems in C

· Handle version control (Git) fluently

· Communicate well with our international team in English and/or German

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and

employees in the electrical and electronics industry, at least employment

group G

The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable

The *KAI Competence Center for Automotive and Industrial Electronics *was

founded in 2006, is a 100% subsidiary of Infineon, and is located in the

Villach Technology Park. The focus of our research is the reliability of

power semiconductors in automotive and industrial applications.
