RESPONSIBILITIES The Marketing Cloud Generalist is responsible first to understand the prospect’s business needs, their corporate goals, and the landscape of their organization. The Marketing Cloud Generalist is also responsible for consulting as a trusted advisor with the customer and showing them how Adobe’s digital marketing solutions address the customer’s specific business problems. The Marketing Cloud Generalist is responsible for building the use case and demonstrating the values and ROI of the solution. The Marketing Cloud Generalist will work closely with others in the presales organization, including sales engineers and proof-of-concept teams as needed, to help the customer understand how the solution will work in the real world, clearly articulating the context of these solutions in the customer’s daily work stream. As part of this process, they are responsible for the logical architecture of the solution and collaborating very tightly with sales engineering and others in sales oriented roles. The ideal Marketing Cloud Generalist will draw on their own deep personal expertise in digital marketing, as well as past experience in at least one of our main customer industry verticals (e.g. Retail, Financial Services, Media & Entertainment), to help Adobe’s clients become best- in-class digital marketing organizations. The Marketing Cloud Generalist will be able to translate the customer’s corporate goals and defined business problems into specific solutions and reliable business cases that will help the customer pursue and achieve their financial targets. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED o In-depth knowledge of digital marketing subjects such as analysis, including search engines, email, affiliates, digital advertising, A/B & multivariate testing, behavioral targeting, cross-channel experience management and delivery. o A good understanding of digital technologies in general e.g. web, mobile, CRM, etc. o The technical ability to get familiar with the use of solutions of the Adobe Marketing Cloud to perform the analysis required to develop compelling and supported business cases for clients, and to portray a deep familiarity with Adobe’s products generally. o Competitive knowledge of CMS, web analytics and optimization vendors are an advantage. o A familiarity with SaaS based technologies and its implications. o Deep understanding of creative workflows and the agency in order to consult business to consult marketing and IT. o Good understanding of big corporations (e.g. SMI companies). o Experienced in building and presenting business cases and value propositions for organizations, as well as creating online strategies and digital agendas. This includes ability to lead discovery and deliver findings and recommendations to executives. o Exceptional presentation skills. Ability to conduct and execute strategic customer workshops and to facilitate discussions with a C-level audience. o Familiar and skilled with graphics programs to create impactful presentations (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint). o A familiarity with solution and value selling approaches and benefits. WHO YOU ARE o Preferably a business / management consulting or industry background, ideally with client-facing experience as a trusted business advisor. Real life experience in steering and execution of projects is an asset. o At least five years previous success in a pre-sales or business consulting environment. o Ability to collaborate well with (virtual) internal and external marketing, sales and technical teams or individuals. o Must be self-managed, responsive, reliable and dedicated to customer success. o A natural attention to detail and eye for quality, combined with strong verbal and writing skills. o Full professional proficiency in German and English. Fluency in French and other European languages is an asset o Living in/ or willing to move to Switzerland o Readiness to travel up to 40%. WHAT WE OFFER Hours/Week: 42.5 Salary
