Senior Sister Main Outpatient department Band 7 Hillingdon Hospital, Uxbridge 37.5 hours per week The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute and specialist services from two sites to a local population of 350,000. Our services include; accident and emergency services, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. Hillingdon is situated in North West London close to Heathrow airport and is the second largest London borough. Our modern treatment centre at Mount Vernon in Northwood offers routine inpatient services, diagnostics and outpatient clinics. Our vision is to be the best general hospital in the country. An opportunity has arisen in the Hillingdon hospital Main Outpatient department. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated Senior sister / Charge nurse to assist with managing this challenging but very rewarding department. The variety of specialties in this busy department includes Gastroenterology, ENT, Cardiology, Pain, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Urology, General Surgery, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Neurology, Respiratory and Pain Clinics. You must have a positive outlook to work and the ability to inspire, lead and support others. You should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with a wide ranging Multidisciplinary team. This role is key to ensuring that high standards of patient care are maintained and delivered to those attending outpatients. Candidates must have significant recent experience at Band 6 in an Outpatients or similar setting. You will be directly supported and work closely with the Outpatient matron to ensure effective delivery of the Outpatient service. Successful applicants must have the following list top 3 or 4 essential criteria Experience in Outpatients clinic setting. Excellent organisation skills. Confident in using Microsoft office. Experience of data quality collection within Outpatients. Audit/research experience. Be fully confident and competent in using PAS, ICE, CRISS and choose and book systems.
