MSK Occupational Health Physiotherapist JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title MSK Occupational Health Physiotherapist Reports to Service Team Leader Location Clinical Locations Hours of Work As per contract Main Purpose of Role * To work as an autonomous practitioner, to deliver a range of clinical services to meet the clinical and commercial needs of the services. * To develop and promote a positive and dynamic image and culture to both internal and external stakeholders.
At all times striving to reflect and encourage core value behaviours * To develop and foster productive relationships with patients, and other key stakeholders Direct Reports * None Key contacts/relationships * Service Team Leader (I) * Referral Management centre staff and Team Leaders (I) * Other OPS MSK Physiotherapy staff (I) * Relevant External key stakeholders (E) * Client site staff (E) Essential Criteria * Good basic MSK knowledge * Demonstration in all of the ACPOHE level Competencies * Competent in delivering the following services: o Health Screening o Health Promotion o MSK Screening o Exercise Classes o PhysioLine o Patient Lead Assessment o Functional Rehabilitation Desirable Criteria * Experience of working in OH contracts * Awareness of the role of national occupational health physiotherapy policy and application in practice (eg- CSP policy, HCPC, NHS England and ACPOHE) Key Tasks Clinical * To utilise musculoskeletal expertise to function as an Advanced Practitioner managing a varied clinical caseload within designated clinical environments * Services delivered and clinical interventions will vary depending on contract/site, patient/clients’ needs, and clinician experience/knowledge.These services may include; assessments, advice, treatment, individual or group rehab, educational seminars, screening, risk assessments, workplace assessments and providing basic ergonomic advice * To conduct all clinical interventions and related actions in line with relevant professional standards, such as CSP, HCPC, ACPOHE, ACPSM as well as Connect standards and policies and where applicable, and within contract parameters * To demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and to maintain a contemporary record of such activity, in line with recommendations of CSP and HCPC * To attend timetabled in service training and mandatory training programme, as well as other Connect educational initiatives which may be outside of contracted time * To share their knowledge and skills and contribute to the Connect in service training programme and other training, educational and promotional initiatives * To undertake Audit projects relevant to clinical role Non- Clinical * Be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the services of the clinicsensuring services are delivered efficiently and with high levels of patient satisfaction * Communicate regularly and appropriately with colleagues and staf f. * Be involved in regularly reviewing and updating the services, including the collation and presentation of basic statistical information regarding the delivery and outcomes of the service provided * There may be the opportunity to work with the management team in thedevelopment and delivery of existing services provided to clients and to take responsibility for delegated tasks or attend specific meetings/events * Utilise IT systems provided to track and record patient interactions, complete and submit service and HR data requirements, and review and respond to internal/external communications * To provide support within a confined geographic area to field queries from the local team regarding safeguarding concerns and signpost staff to Safeguarding Supervisor or Local Authority as outlined in this policy * To participate in the Multi-agency communication or MDT to share information pertaining to cases
