Shearfitness, an exclusive member only Leisure facility, are seeking to hire a Senior Gym Instructor/Swim Teacher for their busy facility in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. This person will have a valid gym instructor and swim teacher qualification. You will be joining an experienced and motivated team with a focus on providing quality standards of care for our members. This role will require EVENING AND WEEKEND work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Daily reception duties. This includes greeting guests and members, general tidying, answering the phone, dealing with queries, and following all procedures.

·        Selling memberships is an important aspect of this role. You must be a people person who can spot an opportunity and close a sale.

·        General cleaning duties are required. This will include opening, closing and daily cleaning responsibilities.

·        Teaching classes will be an important part of this role. You must have experience teaching and motivating groups of people in a class setting with proven experience of growing class numbers.

·        Swimming lessons in a group setting will be part of your responsibilities. These will predominantly be children’s group lessons. You must have a proven ability to successfully run group lessons. This will require excellent organisational skills, communication and punctuality.

·        Ideally you will have experience operating a pool plant room.

REQUIREMENTS

·        Minimum of 2 years in a senior position with responsibility for swimming lessons and gym classes.

·        You must have a valid swim teacher qualification.

·        You must have a valid gym instructor qualification.

·        You must be available for evenings and weekend work.

·        You must have proven ability to motivate a group of people in a class setting.

·        Ideally you will have experience operating a pool plant room.

·        You must be a people person. We strive to get to know our members on a first name basis and provide a high standard of service.

You must be driven, motivated to be the best and able to work independently
