Senior Fund Accountant (Hybrid). Dublin. Irlanda

Overview

Ownership of the daily processing tasks for funds within a fund accounting team.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

Adhere to policies and procedures, ensuring operational controls are executed in accordance with agreed protocols and contributing to ongoing risk mitigation. Regular training should be coordinated with the departmental manager/team leader.

Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the point-of-contact for multiple clients (both internal and external) on daily operational matters.

Collaborate with Investment Managers, Depositaries, and Brokers to resolve issues related to the day-to-day management of the fund.

Perform Cash and Position Reconciliations using FundRecs Velocity software.

Review NAV Calculation and assist Fund Accountants with NAV Preparation Checks.

Ensure deadlines are met through effective planning and scheduling, utilizing our operational improvement software, Enlighten.

Comply with appropriate internal controls within your area of responsibility.

Follow operational checklists diligently.

Prepare and maintain procedures within the team.

Complete special projects and perform other duties as required.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

3 years of experience in fund accounting or fund accounting oversight.

Master degree in business or finance.

Experience in the production and final check of NAVs is preferred.

Experience with mutual funds is advantageous.

Knowledge of portfolio management.

Previous supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential.

Technically proficient.

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a related area.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Prior experience in a NAV Operations environment.

Familiarity with FIS Investran, FundRecs, Mantra, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv is a distinct advantage.

Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

Part-qualified Accountant or fully qualified Accountant.
