Senior Director, Supply Chain Management. Basel-Landschaft

Executes the supply chain strategy and oversees supply chain operations for assigned commercial brands. This includes managing the operational aspects of each node in the supply chain, including rolling purchase forecasts, volumes, and purchase orders, in alignment with the global supply plan. The Senior Director, Supply Chain Management owns the supply metrics for assigned brands, manages supply issues with timely analysis, streamlined communication, escalation, and resolution with key stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance leads, and the European General Manager. The role is accountable for all operational aspects of the supply plan, with full understanding of demand, capacity, inventory, distribution, cost of goods, production budget, launch plans, and logistics for assigned commercial brands. The scope includes overseeing the relationships with supply chain nodes, e.g., contract manufacturers, regional 3PLs, marketing and distribution partners, and logistics providers. The role is also accountable for managing and mitigating supply chain risk at the market level, executing the life cycle strategy for the brands, and providing supply and inventory projections to the relevant stakeholders. Recruits, manages, and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This position is based in Basel, Switzerland, and reports directly into the Global Head of Supply Chain (Vice President, Commercial Manufacturing & Supply Chain, NBI) in San Diego.

Your Contributions (include, but are not lid to):

Executes the supply chain strategy and manages supply chain operations for assigned commercial brands based on the global supply plan. This includes a thorough understanding of market demand, capacities and lead times at each supply node, inventory policies, cost of goods, production budget, launch plans and logistics

Supports the development of long-range supply plans and the annual production budget

Oversees tactical initiatives to manage supply issues, including communication, escalation, and coordination of resolution

Manages the forecasting and ordering process for each supply node, working closely with the contract manufacturers and partners at each supply node

Manages the interface with marketing and distribution partners from a supply chain perspective, manages supply metrics for marketed brands, and participates in the global Sales & Operations Planning process

Executes in-market launch plans for new product launches

Manages and mitigates supply chain risk at the market level

Executes the life cycle strategy and provides supply and inventory projections to relevant stakeholders

Partners with cross-functional teams to understand and support the optimization of product supply, capacities, costs of goods and inventories at the regional level

Partners with Sales & Marketing to understand market demand signals

Drives tactical, capacity constrained distribution plans for each market

Manages the inventory of finished goods to balance customer service needs and financial targets for each market, working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams

Coordinates with Finance on inventory valuation and insurance coverage needs at the regional level

Implements and maintains policies and procedures for supply chain and distribution operations in alignment with global policies and procedures

Hires, manages, and coaches the NSG Supply Chain team in alignment with budget and business need

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the NSG Supply Chain team as needed
