As a Senior Business & Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in analysing performance and exposures, translating figures into economic reality, and ensuring accurate participation in quarterly closings and audits. This role requires a robust system-driven profile, calling for proficiency in leveraging trading and financial systems for data analysis and reporting.

You will drive efficiency improvements, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, maintain strong relationships with external auditors and have the opportunity to be exposed to the entire trading porfolios and to all functions across the group.

Responsibilities:

Analysis and Business Reporting

Conduct comprehensive analyses of performance and exposures, providing actionable insights to support decision-making processes;

Translate complex financial data into clear, relevant narratives for management, facilitating informed strategic discussions;

Participate in the forecasting and landing process on a quarterly basis, ensuring accurate understanding a combination of performance drivers across all group activites.

Financial Reporting and Audit Participation

Participate in quarterly closings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of trading P&L into accounting books;

Translate trading economic views into the accounting world in compliance with regulatory standards, defining and monitoring economic versus accounting differences;

Collaborate with external auditors during consolidated and statutory audits, providing necessary justifications.

Business Controls, Process Enhancement, and Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Middle Office, Operations, and Risk to ensure accurate understanding of trading strategies and collaborate in defining efficient processes for P&L reporting and reflection;

Montor trading open balances and ensure valuation accuracy and completeness;

Champion process enhancement initiatives to optimize financial processes, focsing on efficiency and accuracy;

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective controls and alignment with organizational objectives

Job Profile:

Master's degree or equivalent in finance/accounting;

5-10 years of experience in audit and /or financial controlling, with expertise in commodity trading;

Strong experience in quarterly closings and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance;

Strong skills in dealing with systems (ETRM, ERP, reporting tools); coding and modelling skills are appreciated;

Priven track record in translating complex financial data into actionable insights for management;

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;

Proficient in spoken and writing English.
