Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work individually and as part of a team, have basic experience and a proven track record of adhering to specific safety requirements. This is a long-term ongoing position offering an exciting opportunity to work on an expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct safety inspections on a regular basis, prepare basic checklists and reports, implement corrective and preventative measures, and liaise with the director to facilitate close out on items highlighted.

Identify and schedule new and on-going safety related training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and organized on time for employees.

Develop and distribute safety communications, such as toolbox talks and safety alerts to proactively strive for continual improvement.

Manage arrangements for emergency preparedness across the site in relation to areas including fire safety, chemical safety, and work-related vehicles.

Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented without delay and that suitable notification is given to the Director.

Key Requirements

1-2 years’ experience in a safety role is desirable, however, relevant training will be provided.

Flexible and extremely reliable.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to learn quickly.

Strong focus on safety and quality.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to communicate in English language
