Research Analyst. Irlanda

Main duties and responsibilities include:

•    Collect and analyse data and competitive intelligence on markets, sectors, and industries relevant to M&A department activity and clients.

•    Collecting and analysing data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities relevant to M&A advisory transaction activity.

•    Extracting relevant data from market reports, industry publications, and online databases for analysis on a weekly and monthly basis.

•    Performing desktop research on markets, industries, and transactions.

•    Understanding financial data and other financial information in relation to M&A transactions in order to present this data in user friendly form.

•    Provide research reports and databases of potential acquisition targets and buyers when necessary for identification projects for clients.

•    Assist M&A team members with deal support when required (market analysis, documents review and preparation)

•    Creating comprehensive sector reports that effectively communicate research findings and strategic insights for publication on web site and targeting prospective clients.

•    Creating and designing visually appealing charts, graphs, and infographics to represent research findings.

•    Presentation of findings to management and clients when required

•    Experience of working with M&A Research platforms and tools including DueDil, IbisWorld, Valutico, Mergermarket, Search for Less etc.

Qualifications

•    A Business Master’s degree is essential.

•    Fluency, including knowledge of business terminology, in English; other languages are an asset.

•    Detail-oriented, diligent and with a genuine interest in M&A/Corporate Finance.

•    Knowledge of research methodologies.

•    Understanding of financial statements.

•    Good computer skills (especially MS Office); other software knowledge is a plus, especially a visual design software.

•    Strong communication skills with a background in presenting data and research findings to management and teams

Reporting:

You will report to the M&A Advisory Director in charge of this service line and on a day to day basis report to the respective members of the M&A Advisory team within the department.
