Job Description We are excited to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist / Telephonist to join our team at the Wellington Hospital. This individual will be responsible for providing a professional, efficient and friendly service to internal and external users of the hospital, ensuring that policies & procedures are maintained to the highest standard. Hours: 37.5 hours/week (07.30-15.30 or 10.30-19.30). Working 5 days out of 7 (weekend working may be required on occasion) Salary: £18,310 - £22,421 (dependent on candidate experience) plus a comprehensive benefits package on top. Duties & Responsibilities To ensure that all hospital and statutory policies are adhered to at all times Meeting and greeting patients and visitors Co-ordinate deliveries and couriers, and the logging of deliveries/post Use of the 'Win-pak' system - issuing cards, updating access and logging of documentation To provide a pleasant and efficient telephone service for patients, doctors, visitors, staff and any other callers To direct in a pleasant manner all visitors, staff and doctors to the correct departments To keep the reception area clean, tidy and free of obstructions To understand and abide by all fire procedures Skills and Experience Previous Receptionist / Telephonist experience, ideally within healthcare Knowledge of relevant hospital policies & procedures would be advantageous Good verbal communication skills with excellent customer care skills Knowledge of health & safety procedures Ability to resolve queries in a timely manner About the Individual The successful candidate will be a confident communicator; comfortable dealing with people of all levels and tactful, empathetic and professional in their tone and manner. They will be intrinsically customer focused, exhibiting a passion for going above and beyond expectations and a desire to provide an exceptional patient experience. They will be able to demonstrate that they are able to organise and prioritise an ever-changing workload, which is often busy and varied.
