Job description

In this role you’ll be reporting to the Head of Noise and Vibration and be part of our team based in Baden. You will execute design, research as well as validation tests, investigating and resolving critical product issues as well as optimizing processes and test methodologies in the field of turbocharger acoustics.

Your work is supported by close collaboration within R&D, product development, service team members and experts from various disciplines. In this exciting opportunity, you can significantly contribute to projects with your creativity, curiosity, and your knowledge about industry standards and testing methods. At the same time, we are looking for someone who strives to develop others, transfers skills and knowledge, shares best practices and lessons learned.

Your responsibilities:

Conducting acoustic tests with turbochargers and its components on test trigs and in the field, including data analysis and reporting.

Design of innovative noise attenuation methods and solutions, in particular sound absorption, in close cooperation with our product development teams.

Define standards and processes for testing and measurement methods in the field of acoustics for Accelleron to ensure high quality and productivity.

Manage and coordinate development projects in the area of acoustics.

Ensure appropriate testing and qualification technologies for turbocharger products of Accelleron in the field of acoustics.

Track the scientific and technological advancement through networking, personal contacts to academia, industry and government, participation in congresses, conferences, fairs and courses, and literature studies.

Consulting of colleagues, projects, and line managers.

Your background:

Bachelor/master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or comparable education with profound experience in the field of acoustics/machine acoustics.

Several years of relevant experience in R&D or R&D related activities in an international business environment.

Open-minded for collaboration in other technical fields e.g. machine vibrations and testing support.

Ambition to expand the own expertise into the management of acoustic product portfolio, qualification methods and testing techniques and deepen your knowledge in the areas of project management, turbomachinery, and supplier market.

Good knowledge in IT applications e.g. Matlab, MS-Office.

Conceptional and analytical thinking, result-orientation, collaboration and networking skills, intercultural communication skills, open-minded personal & change leadership.

Agility for R&D-related planning changes.

Fluent in German and/or English (B2).
