Yhdysvaltain Helsingin suurlähetystö hakee kokenutta osaajaa PUTKIMIEHEN tehtävään.

Putkimies työskentelee kiinteistöpäällikön alaisuudessa.

Vastuualueisiin kuuluvat:

Huolto- ja korjaustyöt suurlähetystön rakennuksissa, tonteilla, varastotiloissa ja asuin- /vuokratuissa kiinteistöissä

Vastaanottaa kirjallisen tai suullisen huoltopyynnön ja varmistaa kaikki tarvittavat tiedot sen määrittämiseksi, onko työ rutiini- vai hätäluontoinen.

Vesihuolto, varastointi, suodatus, desinfiointi ja muut vedenkäsittelyt, kuumavesijärjestelmät ja -laitteet, putket, letkut, liittimet ja hallintalaitteet, kastelu, kotitalouksien putkistot, mukaan lukien vedettömät pisuaarit, viemärijärjestelmät, saniteettijärjestelmät, paikan päällä tapahtuva jäteveden käsittely ja hulevesi hallinta.

Kokemusvaatimukset:

Vähintään kolmen (3) vuoden kokemus työskentelystä korjausmekaanikon tai huoltoteknikon tehtävistä putkijärjestelmien parissa laitos- tai liikerakennuksessa.

On erikoistunut LVI - ja mekaanisten järjestelmien käyttöön ja laitteiden huoltoon

Tunnettava kansainväliset rakennus-, mekaniikka- ja putkityömääräykset voidakseen suorittaa asennus-, huolto- ja korjaustyöt koodivaatimusten mukaisesti

Yleinen tieto rakennusjärjestelmistä ja toiminnasta, mekaanisista periaatteista ja teorioista sekä perehtymistä kemiallisten materiaalien oikeaan käyttöön ja vaaroihin.

Apuohjelmien normaali-, valmius- ja hätätilojen tuntemus. Allasjärjestelmien tuntemusta toivotaan.

Koulutusvaatimus:

Tehtävä edellyttää ammatillisen koulutuksen suorittamista LVI alalta.

Tutkintotodistus liitettävä hakemukseen.

The U.S. Embassy in Helsinki is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Plumber.

The work schedule for this position is full time, 40 hours per week.

Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (four weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties:

A Plumbing Technician carries out skilled maintenance and repair work to the facilities' mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the Embassy compound buildings, grounds, warehouse, and residential owned/leased properties. Incumbent receives written or verbal request for maintenance services and ascertains all of the necessary information to determine whether the work is of a routine or emergency nature. Familiarization of general mechanical and electrical systems is required.

The incumbent specializes in plumbing and mechanical systems operation and maintenance of equipment as directed by the Facility Manager or the Building Engineer. Systems to include but limited to; water supply, storage, filtration, disinfection and other water treatments, hot water systems and equipment, piping, tubing, fittings and controls, irrigation, domestic plumbing fixtures including waterless urinals, drainage, sanitary systems, on-site sewage treatment, and storm water management.

EXPERIENCE:  At least three years of experience as a repair mechanic or maintenance technician working with plumbing systems in an institutional or commercial building setting is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Must be familiar with international building, mechanical, and plumbing codes to be able to perform installation, maintenance, and repair work to meet code requirements. A general knowledge of building systems and operations, mechanical principles and theories, and familiarization of the proper use and hazards of chemical materials is needed. Knowledge of normal, standby, and emergency modes of utilities is required. Knowledge of pool systems is desired.

Education Requirements:

The position requires successful completion of secondary school. Completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in plumbing principles and application.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Good Working Knowledge written and spoken proficiency required in both English and Finnish.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  The incumbent shall have the skills and abilities in the following areas: diagnosing and repairing filtration systems, water pumps, and hot water systems; testing potable water system components, monitoring of chemical and salt, and taking equipment readings with various meters, hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools to determine appropriate repairs. Ability to use measurement tools needed to lay out and cut shaped, threaded, and joined materials.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle a large workload and multiple tasks. Must be organized. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc) and other computer programs. Basic math skills required. A driver's license is required.
