About the departmentNovo Nordisk Region Europe is the largest region in International Operations with a geographical scope of 6 Business areas, covering 36 countries and employing more than 2,800 people. You get the opportunity to join an international, high performing team having a broad variety of interaction with key stakeholders in the organisation. The positionIn collaboration with various internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving initiatives across Europe, with the aim to deliver better care for patients. This will be done through strategic partnerships/ business development projects, contracted sales organisations and solutions improving patient adherence. You will ensure development and continuous optimisation of the processes, competences and tools to enhance the organisational capabilities in bringing external innovation. You will manage the screening of external partners and ensure that relevant ideas and opportunities are matured and that clear rationales are developed to test these further. You will drive this work by leading projects through frameworks and clear business cases which drive awareness of thinking beyond the medicines we supply. This work will be done with corporate and regional office functions, local management teams and affiliates so strong interpersonal skills and past experience in setting up external partnerships is a prerequisite. Many interactions with various stakeholders are handled independently based on a comprehensive understanding of how potential partnerships may promote or challenge Novo Nordisk’s interests and priorities. Furthermore, you will co-ordinate, track and report progress on a regular basis to ensure that the results from our strategic partnerships’ initiatives are fully understood and add value to the entire Region. You will facilitate a constructive evaluation process related to these projects and ensure that learnings are anchored in improved processes and tools. QualificationsAs a Project Manager, you are expected to have a university degree in business administration, marketing or relevant in combination with experience and a proven track record in working with external partnerships, business development initiatives from the pharma industry or management consulting companies. The successful candidate will need to possess an in-depth understanding of the pharma industry and demonstrate successful experience in succeeding within a European context and environment. You are able to lead large strategic projects and at the same time manage many stakeholders. To be able to lead such projects across Novo Nordisk you should possess strong project management skills, presentation and change management skills are needed as well as very strong analytical capability. Furthermore excellent collaboration skills, being able to thrive in a busy environment and a can-do attitude will be required to succeed in this role.
