Principal Planning & Environmental Consultant. South-West

We are looking to recruit a Principal Planning & Environmental Consultant to work on large scale and strategic developments for our multinational clients in Ireland and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with significant experience of planning and permitting to work on large scale projects.

You will enjoy working on multiple large-scale projects in the Irish and international markets across a number of sectors. The successful candidate can work from either of our Irish operational Business Units in Dublin or Cork.

We are very interested in hearing from all candidates who are passionate professionals with the following experience:

Involvement in the preparation and management of development consents, compliance and planning strategy for large scale projects

Participation in design process for layout, master planning and input or coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR)

Management of the interaction with multi-disciplinary project teams, clients and stakeholders

Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanála (An Coimisiún Pleanála) and other statutory bodies as required

Engagement with environmental permitting including EPA Licence application process and/or the waste facility licencing process

You will have

A minimum qualification Level 8 or Level 9 NEQ qualification (or equivalent) in Planning & Sustainable  

Development or related Environmental Science/Engineering discipline.

Chartered planner (IPI, RTPI or equivalent) or working towards chartership.

Relevant experience in the area of planning and environmental management / consultancy.

Knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation, policy and practice.

Project Management skills with attentiveness to critical dates and adherence to deadlines.

Clear and confident verbal & written communication skills.

Excellent knowledge of report preparation (MS Word) and use of MS Excel.

Proven track record of working on your own initiative.

Promote an inclusive workplace.

Desirable:

Experience in CAD and/or GIS

Exposure to design process for large scale industrial and infrastructure projects
