Job Description West Dunbartonshire Council is looking to recruit an experienced Lead Practitioner for Clydebank Early Education and Childcare Centre. It is essential you have management and practical experience in working with pre-five children in a relevant setting; in curriculum planning and delivering a curriculum as well as a commitment to developing parental involvement. You must have sound knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence (Early Level) and Pre-Birth to Three Guidance likewise able to demonstrate a clear understanding of child development. Education Services are committed to the care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment. The Head of Establishment is accountable to the Chief Officer of Education and would undertake appropriate duties in line with the policies of West Dunbartonshire Council. It is essential that you hold a BA in Childhood Practice (or equivalent) and be registered with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council). Requirements This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
