Duties and Responsibilities

    Follow daily routines for the bird management & egg production.

    The welfare of the birds will be a priority at all times.

    Manage flock records

    Maintain biosecurity on the farm (must not have contact with poultry outside of work)

    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Working hours

    Farm workers hours are 6:00am to 14:00pm Monday to Friday and 6:00 to 11:30 on weekends. Weekend hours are worked in rotation with other farm staff.

    However, you may be expected to be co-operative in working outside these hours during occasional busy periods.

    In addition to this start and finish times may be changed at short notice, however you will be given as much notice as is reasonably possible.

Skills Required

    Previous experience in a poultry environment or other livestock is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

    Must be a team player but also have the ability to work alone and use their initiative.
