Responsibilities: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments using operators. Collaborate with the team to ensure the high availability and performance of PostgreSQL databases through tools like Patroni. Monitor database health using Prometheus and create insightful dashboards in Grafana. Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and issues in a timely manner. Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database queries and performance. Utilize version control systems like Git for managing database-related code and configurations. Maintain accurate documentation for database configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of database systems and processes. Qualifications: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Nice to have: Familiarity with Kubernetes operators for PostgreSQL deployment. Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Understanding of high availability solutions, especially Patroni. Proficient in Jira for issue tracking and Git for version control. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
