Job Description  

Design and implement streamlined workflows to enhance dispensing efficiency and reduce wait times.

Lead compliance audits and ensure all dispensary operations align with PSI regulations and standards.

Develop and oversee comprehensive quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of medication safety and efficacy.

Utilise advanced inventory management systems to predict demand, optimise stock levels, and minimise wastage.

Implement cutting-edge error prevention technologies and protocols, including barcode verification and electronic prescribing systems.

Ensure meticulous documentation and timely submission of all regulatory reports and audits.

Leverage data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous operational improvements.

Establish robust pharmacovigilance systems to monitor and report adverse drug reactions and ensure patient safety.

Develop and conduct advanced training programs focused on regulatory compliance, quality control, and operational excellence.

Implement automation solutions for routine tasks to enhance accuracy and free up staff for higher-value activities.

Key Requirements:

2+ years experience in managing pharmacy operations, preferably in a dispensary setting.

Experience in developing and implementing operational workflows.

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

Advanced degrees such as an MBA, Master's in Healthcare Management, or a relevant pharmaceutical qualification are preferred.

In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and standards set by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).

Understanding of legal and ethical guidelines in pharmacy practice.

Knowledge of advanced inventory management techniques and systems.

Understanding of supply chain management principles.

Expertise in quality assurance practices and methodologies.

Knowledge of error prevention technologies and protocols.

Understanding of the broader healthcare system and its impact on pharmacy operations.

Familiarity with electronic prescribing systems and healthcare IT.
