PERMANENT HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER – LIVERPOOL- £26,000 Are you an experienced within a Health & Safety Enviroment? Are you NEEBOSH qualified? Are you looking for your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has become available within our clients team. You will be providing H&S guidance, advice and support to ensure legal compliance and promote best practice within the business. You will be responsible for the following duties: - Advise Operations on all matters concerning health & safety to ensure all activity is compliant with legislation - Provide support to the operation for accident / incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action - Support daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for all employees - Deliver regular safety performance reviews with the operational team as appropriate - Work in conjunction with the customer & union safety representatives on all matters concerning health & safety - Attend and represent company safety at operational and customer site safety meetings - Working with the H & S Manager to identify and evaluate H&S risks and to provide recommendations to Operational - Management Team to avoid, mitigate, or reduce the potential impact of these risks to the Plant - Conduct regular audits to test the effectiveness of safety management system, behavioural safety, procedures - To create and guide the completion of risk assessments, processes, training and safe systems of work for all activities and tasks being undertaken within remit area - Ensure company policies and procedures are communicated, applied and enforced - Work in collaboration with other sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice - To maintain correct and accurate data reporting for all H & S related KPI's and reporting activities - Organise and lead the focus on continuous improvement safety initiatives - Conduct regular audits to test the effectiveness of safety management system, behavioural safety, procedures - Provide safety induction & relevant training on safety management systems Requirements: - Previous experience working within Health & Safety is essential - NEEBOSH qualified is essential for this role - Excellent communication skills Apply with your CV on a word document immediately then contact Alicia Cascone on 01908 921090 Established in 1995, Osborne Appointments is an independently owned recruitment agency specialising in the supply of temporary, contract and permanent placements.
