Contrato de cuidador de comunidades de adultos/cuidadora de comunidades de adultos en South-West (Irlanda)

Cumann Tithíochta na Dromoda/Ionad Lae na Dromoda is seeking to recruit a Part-Time Social Centre Co-ordinator and Visitation Worker for our local Social Centre. Currently our social centre is operating one day per week, our centre also hosts masses, outings, and various community events, in addition to providing Meals on Wheels, laundry services, the facilitation of other services and visitation support for the older members of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the Social Centre, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all attendees.

Organise and facilitate information sessions , activities and outings to engage and support our older community members.

Manage the Meals on Wheels and laundry services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Provide caring visitation support to people in the community who are confined to home.

Supervise staff and volunteers to enhance service delivery and community involvement

Administration and other duties may also occur.

Requirements:

Minimum level 5 in a related field (i.e) Social Care qualification desirable.

Previous experience working with older people is highly desirable.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a number of tasks effectively.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

A caring and respectful attitude towards older individuals, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

A good knowledge of the Irish language is also desirable.
