Operations Engineer. Dublin. Irlanda

Energia have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Engineer based in Dublin.

Reporting to the O&M Engineering Manager, this key role will support the team through developing and maintaining the asset management system, and further processes in relation to compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

The Operations Engineer will have responsibility for ensuring all site operations and maintenance activities comply with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations. This role will ensure consistency across all sites with the implementation of health, safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day, here’s what your new role would look like:

    Continuously promote and maintain a compliant health and safety culture within the team.

    Development of management systems and improvements in line with AM ISO55001 recommendations.

    Promoting awareness of Asset Management and the Asset Management Policy.

    Liaise with wider team to manage and resolve defects, technical issues, RCAs through contract agreements.

    Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Producing daily / monthly / annual reports for senior management.

    Preparation of information for monthly and technical reports.

    Assisting in the management of the handover of new assets coming into the Renewables Operations remit.

    Providing a single point of contact within the Asset Management team for all designated projects from Development to Operations.

    Contributing input for Employer Requirements and works information.

    Ensuring the construction quality meets the necessary criteria outlined in the detailed design.

    Tracking, reporting and escalating any issues with project deliverables as defined by programme and takeover criteria.

    Ensuring all risks are managed, mitigated and accepted by the Asset Management team.

    Assisting with and / or providing cover for other H&S or Operational duties as required.

    Supporting optimisation of lifetime O&M and Asset Management planning.

    Ad hoc project management as business projects arise.

    Ensure all O&M activities are conducted in strict compliance with Energia Safety Rules.

About you

Key Criteria – What You’ll Need

    Relevant technical qualification or operational experience of renewable generation technologies.

    Reporting and documentation skills with previous experience of drafting and monitoring work practices and procedures.

    Project management experience with excellent IT and communication skills.

    Full drivers licence with ability to travel as and when required by the business.

Desirable Criteria - These help decide between those who meet all the above key criteria:

    Experience of working in the renewables field.

    Experience operating to safety rules or safe system of work.

    Knowledge of ISO 55001 Asset Management Standard and experience of CMMS or Asset management system (Maximo or other).
