Play group leader. South-West. Irlanda

This role is to assist in providing and maintaining a high quality level of care to all families and to supervise the day to day organisation of the room and lead a team of people.

Main duties in this role include:

Meet the developmental needs  of every child by devising a programme of activities and creating a curriculum based on Aistear and Siolta.

Be aware of health and safety throughout the day especially when planning activities

Creating a good records system and ensure all records are correct for inspections

Be aware of all policies and ensure that all staff are also.

Good communication with staff and management.

Good system of communication with parents, daily feedback, observations, notices, emails and meetings. Ensure all staff know the importance of good communication.

Identify any training needs of staff

Devise ways of more parental involvement and be aware of the importance of this.

Plan, organise and supervise outings. Carry out risk assessments prior to any outing.

Promote good hygiene and healthy eating.
