Overview

Channel Planning sits within the Media Practice in Core and has three key functions. The purpose of this role is to support the Media Manager(s) and Senior Media Manager(s) in the day to day running of the allocated team in Channel Planning. It is the responsibility of the Channel Planning team to create media plans that deliver effectively on clients’ objectives. Part of the remit is working collaboratively with all our Practices to create and assist in the creation of award-winning campaigns that deliver real results for our clients. The team in Channel Planning have a very structured learning programme in place, delivered by the best trainers in the industry. The purpose of this is to ensure a consistent level of knowledge covering everything from the basics to advanced areas of media planning.

Quality control of output will be critical to this role.

Responsibilities/ Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Central to this role is a clear understanding of media planning principles and an ability to plan

at a high level. Quality Control is essential to ensure that the media plan produced matches the

media rationale and the objectives set.

Success will be defined at the year-end RADAR client service review in improvement in media

planning and the impact of media ideas on the client’s business. It will also be defined by audit

results specifically in areas that we have control over.

Experience

1 year of media planning is required plus an interest in media planning and buying is essential

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

High level of business acumen.
